More behind the model number

1. From the model number, you can see the opening tunnel size of the x-ray baggage scanner. We name all the models by the width. plus height.

   
   

   For example, AT5030A, it means the x-ray scanner is with tunnel size 50 cm * 30 cm (W*H). You can put inside any baggages, suitcases, laptop bags or handbags with size less than 50*30cm. And one thing, we don't write the length requirements for the tunnel size, considering if you place it vertically or horizontally to fit in the tunnel.

   
   

2. There are always many kinds of prefix and suffix except for the tunnel size numbers in the model number. Typically you can see "B", "A", "D", "ZA", "HT" etc.

   
   

   -- Here "B" means a special metal housing outlook, with rectangular lighting conners, light blue frame and white pannels 

   
   

3. AT6040B, the most popular models for higher end users

   AT100100B, first choice for airport single view

--- "D", means dual view, there are two views for x-ray seeing though the baggages and luggages. Normally one from side and the other from top. There are two x-   ray generators integrated inside one machine. This kind of models require more hardwares and sophiscated software functions, so the cost is higher. Mainly for airports, logistics, and other places requiring high standard of security inspection.

--- "A", means single energy.  For singel view ( compared with dual view, two generators products) products, there are two types. one is single energy and the other is dual energy.  Even though both types can show color scanned images, only dual energy can tell the materials substances by atomic numbers like explosives, dangerous liquid etc.  Single energy nowadays is so much popular especially model AT5030A, we can call it King of the market, due to the low cost owership, shipping charges thanks to its limited size and easy maintenance. 

---- "ZA", this is a special steel housing design with dark blue and light grey outlined, originally it is designed specially for a local customer, then it became popular and open for all customers.

---- "HT", this is a special steel housing design with round corners and light/dark grey colored, originally it is designed specially for a local customer, then it became popular and open for all customers.

----- fianlly, if you have enough purchase quantity for the x-ray baggage scanners, you can also enjoy one special steel housing of your own, with your brand. You can choose it to be excusively, or open with Safeway System to release into the market.  We call it OEM & ODM services, to go a bit further more than normal buy-sell agent type.

Chapter II:  

An overview form for the product family

Please kindly see an overview form as below, we can get more information apart from the model numbers.  There are two types for all of our x-ray baggage scanners concerning the operating system: Windows and Linux. 

For Windows system, there is a complete set of computer system inside, the computer, monitor, video card, harddisk etc. It enable the x-ray machines not only work as a x-ray machine, but also you can use it as normal computer. You can network it, install softwares inside, surfing etc. Most of important, we can do remote diagnosis by video conference like sunflower. That is the advantage, the disavantage is, windows hardware require more extra cost and more hardware failure.

For linux, we design the whole software and embed it into a small cpu. So the software and all data storage are there inside the mainboard. There is no extra computer system. Less cost, and easier maintenance.
